Russia Launches Game and Animation Production Hub in Moscow

A five-floor creative cluster in Moscow will soon host a full-cycle video game and animation development center—poised to become a launchpad for Russia’s entry into the global gaming market.

In 2025, Russia will open a state-of-the-art center dedicated to video game and animation production. Located in Moscow, the facility will span five floors and cover nearly 40,000 square meters, according to Gulnara Agamova, Director of the Agency for Creative Industries, speaking to RIA Novosti.

The new center will integrate every phase of game and animation development, from motion capture studios to a high-resolution cinema for reviewing and editing materials. It will also feature a tech-equipped lecture hall to train new talent, as well as a multipurpose arena and an exhibition space for business events, expos, esports tournaments, and product launches.

The project aims to become a magnet for creative developers, providing a collaborative space to elevate Russian gaming onto the international stage.

One of the most ambitious projects to emerge from this initiative is a boxing-themed online simulator. Designed not only for entertainment, the game seeks to promote boxing among younger audiences. Players can create unique fighters with customizable appearances and fighting styles. Developers promise combat mechanics based on real techniques used by professional boxers.

The game is set for official unveiling on July 2 and will be available to gamers in September 2025.
