Russia Launches Platform to Automate Government IT Procurement
The country unveiled “Gostech 2.0,” a unified digital platform designed to automate government IT procurement and foster competition. The project could also become the foundation for AI-powered state services.
Russia has introduced an updated version of its state tech platform, called Gostech 2.0. Its main promise is to fully automate procurement procedures for government IT systems while creating a competitive marketplace. Officials say the platform will eventually support a dedicated cluster for large language models and AI integration into public services.
The Gostech project began in 2020. Today the platform links together 52 systems, with about 30 more still in development or testing. Among its active services are My School, which helps parents and students track class schedules, homework, and academic performance, and Anti-Cartel, a system that flags and prevents anti-competitive collusion.
Russian authorities stress that the goal is to make public services as efficient and user-friendly as possible, both for citizens and businesses.
