Russia Launches Production of Key Components for Lasers and Navigation
Rosel has developed a domestic technology for producing multilayer semiconductor crystals—heterostructures that serve as the foundation for modern lasers, LEDs, and photodetectors

The Rosel holding has developed and is preparing to implement its own technology for manufacturing multilayer semiconductor crystals—heterostructures. These components form the core of advanced lasers, light‑emitting diodes, and photodetectors.
The new development enables domestic production of critically important electronic components. Devices based on these heterostructures demonstrate high reliability and resilience to extreme conditions, including temperature fluctuations, vibration, and strong electromagnetic interference. This makes them ideal for communication systems, navigation, and special‑purpose applications.
Intelligent Lighting and Smart‑City Systems
Multilayer semiconductor crystals will also see broad use in the commercial sector. They can be applied across various types of lighting—from street and industrial illumination to agrophotonics and architectural lighting.
Representatives of Rosel emphasize the strategic importance of the development for import substitution and export potential.
