Russia Moves to Build a National System for Collecting Agrotechnology Data
The platform is intended to enable the large-scale adoption of AI technologies in agriculture.

Russia is set to launch a National System for collecting agrotechnological data to accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence in agriculture, said Maksim Patrushev, head of the Kurchatov Genomic Center at the National Research Center “Kurchatov Institute.”
He noted that livestock breeding is one of the most promising areas for AI integration, in part because the sector has already accumulated large volumes of high-quality data.
From Standards to a National System
Researchers are currently working on the underlying technology, with the first step focused on developing industry-wide standards. According to Patrushev, such a data framework could be rolled out fastest in livestock farming and industrial microbiology.
