Russia Opens New Training Center for Nuclear and Space Industries

In the Siberian city of Zheleznogorsk, a state-of-the-art education hub is training engineers and IT specialists to support Russia’s most advanced sectors.

A new Educational Science and Technology Center for nuclear and space technologies has opened in Zheleznogorsk, Krasnoyarsk Territory. The project was initiated by the city administration, Rosatom’s Mining and Chemical Plant, and Reshetnev Company, a Roscosmos satellite manufacturer.

The renovated building houses digital classrooms, specialized laboratories, and co-working zones for project-based learning. The first cohort includes 287 students, taught by professors from top technical universities such as Siberian State University and Moscow Aviation Institute. By 2030, enrollment is expected to triple.

The creation of the center addresses the crucial task of training highly qualified IT engineers and developers directly within a high-tech production cluster.

This initiative strengthens the human capital of Russian corporations, accelerates the introduction of innovations, and supports the development of domestic solutions in recommendation systems, artificial intelligence, and big data.
