Russia Showcases Innovative Developments at International Exhibition

At an international exhibition in Sevastopol, Russia unveiled more than 200 cutting-edge technologies spanning industry, medicine, and everyday life — signaling its ambitions to compete in the global innovation race.

The international exhibition “New Time” concluded in Sevastopol, featuring over 200 advanced developments. The event brought together 600 participants from 18 Russian regions and eight countries. Russia presented innovative solutions to global practical challenges. Among the standout exhibits were a mind-controlled bionic prosthesis, a music recognition system that works through noise, and an autonomous delivery robot for warehouses. The salon became a platform for finding partners and investors, attracting not only businesses but also tech enthusiasts.

Scientists from Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University introduced a bionic hand prosthesis that reads muscle signals and allows users to make precise movements. It is complemented by a laser scanner that creates accurate 3D models of the residual limb, speeding up and reducing the cost of prosthesis production. Arhip Surnachev from Crimea showcased an AI-powered robot capable of analyzing images and interacting with objects. Meanwhile, 14-year-old Idris Yongalychev developed a program that identifies melodies by filtering out background noise to help users find their favorite songs.

The Rostov Regional Center for Student Technical Creativity presented a mobile delivery robot designed to automate warehouse logistics. The robot’s body was partially created using 3D printing, and it navigates by floor markers. With a production cost of around 50,000 rubles (about $610), the design is seen as commercially viable for small businesses. Sevastopol-based companies and research institutes displayed a modular nearshore cargo delivery platform, unmanned surface and underwater vehicles for search and rescue missions and scientific research, and an affordable measuring buoy that can replace costly oceanographic equipment.

The exhibition and its showcased projects demonstrate that Russia is making significant strides in digital transformation and robotics, offering competitive solutions for the global market.
