BRICS nations back Rosatom's innovations as quantum race heats up

In a unanimous move, the BRICS countries have selected Russia to host the International Quantum Forum 2026 — a high-stakes gathering where quantum tech, AI integration, and industrial innovation will top the agenda. The event will be led by Rosatom, in collaboration with the country’s top scientific institutions.

According to Konstantin Mogilevsky, Russia’s Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education, quantum science is no longer a niche field — it’s now front and center in global tech strategy.
