A live demonstration in Orenburg will reveal new autonomous features that let tractors operate with pinpoint accuracy — without GPS or internet connectivity.

On August 26, 2025, at Distanov’s farm in the Orenburg region, Russia’s agricultural sector will witness the unveiling of expanded features for the Cognitive Agro Pilot, an AI-powered autopilot system for farm machinery.

Developed by a Russian company, the technology enables agricultural equipment to operate independently of GPS and GLONASS, maintaining exceptional precision even in areas with interference or no stable internet connection, according to the company’s press service.

The event will include a live test drive of a tractor controlled entirely by computer vision — without satellite systems. The equipment can operate with up to 2-centimeter accuracy during fieldwork, including automatic realignment after turns. The system’s new features improve efficiency and reduce strain on operators.

A Q&A session will follow with representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture and the system’s developers.

Modern AI technologies are boosting productivity even under challenging conditions. Cognitive Agro Pilot is already used in dozens of farms, cutting costs and increasing yields.

The gathering will be held in an open discussion format, with participants able to test-drive the technology themselves and exchange experiences with colleagues.
