Russia Unveils AI-Powered 'Navigator' System to Manage Nuclear Sector

The new digital platform developed by Rosatom uses artificial intelligence to deliver real-time insights into Russia’s nuclear industry—and it's ready for deployment.

As part of a broader national strategy to automate and digitize key industries, Russia has introduced 'Navigator'—a new AI-enabled management system designed for the nuclear sector. Developed for Rosatom, the system has successfully completed its demo phase and is set to begin pilot deployment.

Navigator gives Rosatom executives a real-time, data-rich view of the nuclear sector, including financial metrics, production flows, and infrastructure development. The system relies on artificial intelligence to process large volumes of data and generate actionable analytics and recommendations.

The launch reflects Rosatom’s ongoing investment in digital transformation. The company is already using virtual twins for icebreakers and nuclear plants, while AI is being integrated into safety oversight. Digital tools also support Arctic and Northern Sea Route initiatives, reinforcing Russia’s push to modernize its industrial backbone.

With Navigator, Russia’s nuclear program gains a centralized and intelligent control layer—enhancing efficiency, safety, and strategic planning across a complex national ecosystem.
