Russia Unveils 'Bulat-Online,' a Drone Detection System for Public Safety

The newly developed 'Bulat-Online' system, capable of detecting drones through multiple data sources, is expected to enhance security at major public events across Russia.

The Russian tech company 3mx has introduced 'Bulat-Online,' an advanced automated platform designed to detect unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

The system aggregates data from three types of sensors—stationary, portable, and vehicle-mounted—allowing it to monitor and respond to drone activity in restricted zones in real time. All incoming data are centralized in a single command center, enabling fast and coordinated responses to potential threats.

This integrated approach is tailored to protect densely populated areas during large-scale events. By providing early identification and classification of UAVs, 'Bulat-Online' is positioned as a key technology in civilian defense.

A Russian expert recently proposed an additional countermeasure: the creation of a federal database linking all mobile devices. According to the expert, this initiative could help neutralize drones that connect through mobile networks.
