Russia Upgrades Cloud Accounting for Entrepreneurs
A graduate from Novosibirsk has built a streamlined online bookkeeping system designed to be simple enough that small business owners can use it without manuals or tech support.
Ekaterina Salikhova, a graduate of Novosibirsk State Technical University’s Faculty of Automation and Computer Engineering, has developed a cloud-based accounting system for individual entrepreneurs, the university’s press service reported.
Unlike bloated enterprise platforms, Salikhova deliberately narrowed the system’s functions to only what small businesses actually need: generating reports, issuing invoices, creating contracts, and managing counterparties. Thanks to its intuitive interface, users can master the tool independently, without support desks or manuals. The next step is market testing of the product.
The project reflects a broader trend in Russia, where digital tools are increasingly central to business growth. New cloud platforms, services, CRM systems, and automation tools are emerging regularly.
