Russia’s Ministry of Agriculture is continuing to upgrade digital services used across the country’s agricultural sector, with a focus on the needs of producers. The update was announced following a roundtable on the development of a unified digital platform for the agro-industrial complex.

Deputy Agriculture Minister Maksim Uvaydov said digitalization remains a priority for the sector, with efforts focused on making farm operations easier to manage.

“It is essential for us that any digitalization process either simplifies the work of agricultural producers or reduces labor costs. Ultimately, digital tools should help lower production costs and improve the competitiveness of our agro-industrial sector,” Uvaydov said.

Officials added that, based on feedback from farmers, a number of upgrades have already been implemented in systems including Yefgis ZSN (Unified Federal Information System for Agricultural Land), FGIS Zerno (Grain Tracking System), Semenovodstvo (Seed Production System), Saturn, and VetIS.
