Russian AI-Powered Coffee Sorters Enter Libyan and Turkish Markets

Barnaul-based SiSort is expanding abroad with its latest coffee-focused photoseparator, SmartSort 1.1 L, designed to improve quality control from raw beans to roasting.

This fall, Russian manufacturer SiSort will deliver its digital photoseparators for the coffee industry to Libya and Turkey. For Libya, it marks the company’s first-ever shipment, making the North African nation the 33rd country in SiSort’s export geography. Local partners there will receive a machine for comprehensive coffee bean processing.

In Turkey, the device will be showcased in the demo hall of a leading equipment supplier, allowing potential clients from across the Middle East to test raw coffee on Russian machinery and evaluate performance in real time.

The SmartSort 1.1 L performs multiple key tasks. It removes stones, metals, and damaged beans from raw coffee, and after roasting, filters out burnt beans and defective “quakers.” The result is higher-quality output suitable for premium markets.

Beyond supplying hardware, SiSort provides a full-service cycle: setup assistance, training, and remote support via a cloud platform. The separators run on proprietary software enhanced with artificial intelligence, giving Russian high-tech equipment a competitive edge in the global market.
