Russian Company to Cut Greenhouse Gas Emissions with AI Technology
Sber introduces an AI-driven energy efficiency program designed to monitor, analyze, and reduce resource consumption across thousands of facilities.

One of Russia’s largest digital companies, Sber, has approved a new energy-saving and efficiency program powered by artificial intelligence. The initiative aims to systematically reduce the consumption of key resources such as electricity, water, and natural gas through AI-based management and automated metering systems.
Smarter Energy Management
Real-Time Monitoring and Optimization
The new approach relies on AI models, including intelligent agents, and on the digitalization of assets integrated into Sber’s large-scale property management system, Andromeda. This software and hardware complex operates in real time, dispatching and optimizing energy consumption across facilities. Currently, it enables remote monitoring of over 8,000 buildings throughout Russia.
Toward a Greener Future
By implementing this program, Sber expects to achieve a significant reduction in greenhouse gas emissions. The project exemplifies how artificial intelligence can drive sustainable transformation in energy management, improving efficiency while supporting environmental goals.
