Russian Developer Strengthens Cyber Defense With New Threat Signatures

Security Code introduces over 600 new detection rules, aligning with top global software vendors to counter rising cyber threats

Russian cybersecurity company 'Security Code' has rolled out 610 new threat signatures for its intrusion detection and prevention systems. These signatures act as digital fingerprints that identify specific types of attacks. Among them, 87 are flagged as high-criticality, signaling severe potential risks that demand immediate response. The updates target exploits of 72 known vulnerabilities, significantly raising protection levels for both corporate and private users.

A key step in the upgrade was integrating the new signatures with solutions from 38 leading software vendors. This synchronization ensures that defense mechanisms work seamlessly with existing deployments.

In addition to the new signatures, Security Code experts modified 1,409 existing ones to address today’s cyberthreat landscape and retired 33 outdated rules. The adjustments reduce system load and improve the efficiency of IDPS operations.

Security Code is one of Russia’s major developers of comprehensive IT protection, covering everything from workstations and servers to network perimeters, virtual environments, and mobile devices.
