Russian Experts Complete Installation of Advanced Radiation Monitoring Systems

The domestically developed ‘Fregat’ system now safeguards scientists at a leading nuclear research university, providing real-time radiation tracking.

Russia’s scientific and production enterprise Doza has successfully completed the installation and commissioning of three ‘Fregat’ radiation monitoring systems. The state-of-the-art technology now ensures the safety of researchers at the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI, where experiments with particle accelerators are conducted.

The system was specially adapted for the university’s needs, delivering continuous real-time monitoring of radiation levels. Similar systems are already in use at medical facilities nationwide, including oncology centers and nuclear medicine clinics.

Previously, Russia also developed ‘Phoenix’ radiation monitoring systems for nuclear icebreakers. These advanced technologies are used to ensure safety during the transportation of radioactive materials.

In developing each prototype and final version, scientists and engineers rely entirely on domestically produced components and platforms. This approach guarantees enhanced equipment safety, high product quality, and the potential for future upgrades through the creation of more advanced components.
