Russian Messaging App MAX Adds One-Click Doctor Appointments

The new feature integrates directly with clinics, eliminating the need for calls and multiple apps.
Russia’s messaging app MAX has rolled out a feature that lets users book medical appointments in just two clicks. The update is powered by an integration with SQNS, a domestic healthcare platform that acts as a digital bridge between patients and clinics.
Instead of juggling multiple apps or waiting on hold with clinic reception desks, patients can now open MAX, head to a dedicated section, and schedule a visit through an embedded mini-app. The system allows users to select their doctor and time slot directly in chat. Clinics connected through SQNS will have verified business accounts inside MAX, marked with a check badge, minimizing the risk of fraud.
MAX, which launched in March 2025, has already been installed by millions of Russians and is available on App Store, Google Play, and RuStore. Experts say embedding healthcare into messaging apps is a logical step toward creating a seamless digital environment, where critical services—from chatting with friends to scheduling a checkup—are accessible within the same platform.
