Russian Messenger MAX Launches In-App Business Platform

The new feature turns the homegrown chat app into a multifunctional marketplace for companies, freelancers, and everyday users.

The Russian messaging app MAX has rolled out a new “Partner Platform” — a built-in business tool that allows companies and self-employed entrepreneurs to sell products and offer services directly inside the app.

Through the platform, users can shop, book trips, or get customer support without leaving MAX. The feature aims to make transactions more convenient for consumers while boosting conversion rates for businesses.

Currently, the platform is open to Russia-based companies with apps listed in the RuStore marketplace. To join, businesses must verify their identity via the Gosuslugi government portal or through partner banks.

Expanding to freelancers and beyond

The service is already being tested by major brands including Ozon, Magnit, X5 Group, and VkusVill, along with more than 500 other partners. In the coming months, the functionality will expand to individual entrepreneurs and freelancers.

With the launch of the Partner Platform, MAX is positioning itself as more than a messenger — it’s evolving into a digital ecosystem that blends communication, commerce, and public services in a single app.
