Russian Retailer Uses AI Robot to Hire Staff
Fix Price has introduced an AI-powered recruiter that screens candidates, schedules interviews, and communicates directly with applicants, marking a new step in Russia’s automation of HR processes.
Anton Maksimenko, HR director at Fix Price, announced that the company has fully automated initial recruitment for entry-level positions. The Vocamate AI recruiter now handles candidate screening, contacts applicants, answers questions, and arranges interviews. By accelerating the hiring funnel and providing instant feedback, the system helps the company compete more effectively for talent.
Fix Price has also automated other HR processes, including travel approvals and validation of electronic sick leave forms—90 percent of which are processed autonomously by the system.
Maksimenko emphasized that final decisions in complex or unusual cases remain with humans. Technology, he said, is designed to improve efficiency, free up time for strategic tasks, and create better working conditions for employees.
