Russian Scientists Launch an Educational Project on Artificial Intelligence
Researchers at Saint Petersburg State University have launched a series of popular science podcasts explaining how artificial intelligence works in an accessible format.

Saint Petersburg State University has presented a new educational project titled How to Understand the Machine Mind. Developed by university faculty, the initiative consists of a series of 12 podcasts recorded as live, conversational discussions about artificial intelligence.
The podcasts are set to be distributed on major digital platforms. In an engaging format, listeners are introduced to the core algorithms behind neural networks, as well as the use of AI in medicine, transportation, and public administration. A separate section focuses on practical skills for the safe and responsible use of AI tools in everyday life.
A New Scientific Landscape
According to Fyodor Bushmelev, a senior lecturer at Saint Petersburg State University, the university is already training specialists at the intersection of multiple disciplines. He cited university projects such as AI Temperament and AI Career Advisor, noting that the cognitive capabilities of AI systems are now growing at an unprecedented pace.
In this way, How to Understand the Machine Mind represents another step toward teaching younger generations to use digital technologies in an informed and responsible manner.
