Russian Social Network Launches Digital Project to Prevent Dementia
The platform Odnoklassniki is rolling out brain-training games and educational resources to help older Russians maintain cognitive health.

The social network Odnoklassniki has begun developing a catalog of games designed to support cognitive health among older users. The apps use special methods to stimulate brain activity, helping players improve memory for objects, number sequences, and words while having fun.
The project coincides with World Alzheimer’s Day on September 21 and is being implemented in partnership with the search-and-rescue team LizaAlert and the charity Alzrus. Dementia is one of the leading causes of missing persons cases in Russia, and prevention measures could reduce the number of such incidents.
In addition to games, the platform will feature collections of materials explaining the signs of dementia, methods of diagnosis, strategies for prevention, and guidance on caring for people who have already lost memory.
Odnoklassniki remains the most popular social network among older Russians. Programs for teaching digital literacy to seniors are now available in every region of the country.
