Russian Tech Firm to Invest in Domestic Computing Startups

Aquarius, a Russian computer technology company, is ramping up support for local hardware and software innovation.

Aquarius, a Russian developer and manufacturer of computer technology, announced plans to invest in domestic startups focused on computing solutions. The initiative was confirmed by the company’s First Vice President, Dmitry Titov.

Titov emphasized that developing computing equipment and electronics remains a strategic priority for Aquarius, and the company is ready to support promising ideas and innovations.

Aquarius has already backed Aerodisk, a Skolkovo-based company that produces data storage systems. Aerodisk has now launched a new virtualization service designed to be resilient against currency fluctuations. The company's service centers operate in Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan.

Aquarius has also signed a partnership with another Skolkovo resident to co-develop devices for remote patient health monitoring. Additional collaborations are planned with Russian developers working on storage system switches, Wi-Fi access points, and consumer electronics.

The company is also building domestic Baikal processors and next-generation data protection hardware-software systems.
