Russian Warehouses Automate Operations with Domestic Inventory System

Warehouses across Russia are adopting Axelot WMS, a homegrown inventory management system designed to eliminate unregistered cargo and prevent overloading.

Russian warehouses are being automated using the domestically developed Axelot WMS system. One clear example of its success can be seen at the Chernogolovka Group, where Axelot specialists automated a finished goods warehouse in the Nizhny Novgorod region last year, followed by another in Novosibirsk more recently.

The digital inventory system has been customized for the specific business processes of each site. Notably, it introduced trusted acceptance control, blocking the receipt of pallets not listed in the delivery plan—making unregistered cargo arrivals impossible. The smart system also tracks order assembly progress and prevents warehouse overcapacity.

Pharmaceutical distributor Irvin-2, which supplies medicines, medical devices, and equipment across Russia, has also recently switched to Axelot. The domestic system fully met the company’s operational needs.
