Russian Wildfire-Detection AI Could Launch in Argentina

A new partnership between NtechLab and Argentina’s Avellaneda University aims to export Russian AI solutions abroad.
Russia’s NtechLab may soon see its wildfire-monitoring AI system deployed in Argentina, according to TASS. The company has signed a cooperation agreement with Argentina’s National University of Avellaneda to launch its AI-powered solution for detecting and preventing fires.
The partnership could expand to include other AI-driven projects such as smart city infrastructure and urban cleanliness monitoring systems. NtechLab CEO Alexey Palamarchuk noted that Argentina shows strong potential for deploying AI technologies aimed at improving urban safety and comfort.
Founded in 2015, NtechLab specializes in neural network-based video analytics. Its product lineup includes facial recognition, silhouette tracking, and vehicle license plate identification technologies. The company’s systems are currently in use across more than 70 Russian regions and 34 countries worldwide.
