Russians Are Turning to AI for Career Guidance—and It’s Working

More Russians are using AI tools to land jobs, prep for interviews, and climb the career ladder—especially among younger professionals.

Interest in artificial intelligence as a career assistant is growing fast in Russia. A new survey from Avito Rabota, a major local job platform, polled 6,000 users and found that AI is becoming a real asset on the path to employment.

According to the results, 40 percent of respondents already use neural networks to support their job search. More than half—56 percent—said AI helped them move up in their careers, and 11 percent credited it with helping them land a new job.

Users say AI helps with everything from building resumes and preparing for interviews to analyzing job market trends. Still, 40 percent report double-checking AI-generated advice. Among younger respondents, trust is higher: 60 percent of 18–24 year-olds and 58 percent of 25–34 year-olds trust AI recommendations.

Survey participants also acknowledged that AI doesn't replace human ambition and initiative. Many experts agree that AI will continue to reshape the labor market, but reject the idea that machines will take over every job. Instead, they argue, those who understand how to work with AI will replace those who don’t.
