Russia’s Largest Tech Platform Opens Access to Its AI Models

Avito has released two generative AI tools—A-Vibe and A-Vision—under an open Apache 2.0 license, offering businesses and developers new capabilities in e-commerce automation.

Russia’s leading online marketplace, Avito, has made its advanced AI models freely available to the public. The company announced the open release of its text-generation model A-Vibe and multimodal model A-Vision, both now hosted on the global AI repository Hugging Face under the Apache 2.0 license.

According to Avito, the tools are designed for businesses, startups, and researchers looking to streamline operations in e-commerce and beyond. They can be used for document analysis, content creation, and building intelligent assistants, cutting launch and maintenance costs by up to 50% compared to other open-source alternatives.

Developed by Avito Tech, the company’s in-house engineering division, the models were trained on real-world data from online retail, allowing them to process product listings, customer queries, and descriptions with high accuracy. A-Vibe and A-Vision both feature a custom tokenizer optimized for the Russian language, improving generation speed and precision. The systems can handle up to 100 pages of text per request and respond to simple natural-language commands.

“The market urgently needs high-quality Russian-language models,” said Anastasia Rysmiyatova, head of large language model development at Avito. “We’re providing ready-to-use tools that save companies millions of rubles in development costs.”

By open-sourcing its models, Avito aims to accelerate the digital transformation of Russian businesses and spark new research and innovation in artificial intelligence, strengthening the country’s growing AI ecosystem.
