Smart Glasses for Mining Industry Specialists Developed in St. Petersburg
A student startup has introduced mixed-reality glasses that allow industrial workers to access data and receive remote guidance using gestures, voice, or eye tracking.

SKADI Technologies, a student startup from Saint Petersburg Mining University, has unveiled a new device designed for mining and extraction industries. The team developed smart glasses equipped with a microdisplay, cameras, and a microphone. The device provides oil and gas specialists with sensor data, diagrams, instructions, and technical drawings in real time.
The glasses use mixed reality technology, overlaying digital elements onto physical objects. The system could significantly improve how industrial processes are managed.
The glasses support control via gestures, voice commands, or eye movement.
