Solar Group Unveils Suite of Tools for Secure AI Development
The new tools can quickly identify critical vulnerabilities, taking on work that would otherwise require an entire team of experts.

According to the latest data, about 82% of companies use artificial intelligence in application development. On the one hand, this approach can accelerate many processes hundreds of times over. But it also increases the risk of critical vulnerabilities as people increasingly turn over the most labor-intensive tasks to AI. At the same time, popular tools such as DeepSeek and ChatGPT cannot always identify every threat correctly.
A Unified Security Framework
That is why Solar Group has assembled a portfolio of technologies designed to secure software developed with AI. It includes three solutions: Solar appScreener, Luntry and Hexway. Together, they cover five stages of the software lifecycle and create a unified security framework that spans vulnerability detection, managed remediation and risk monitoring.
Solar appScreener’s core component is an AI plugin integrated into its static code analysis module. It uses a large language model trained on secure development projects carried out for 1,000 companies over the past seven years. The solution takes routine, labor-intensive work off developers’ hands, including vulnerability verification and remediation, with accuracy of more than 90% at the triage stage and up to 85% at the code-fix stage. It also automatically selects and updates the list of dependencies in the code. The plugin can handle a workload comparable to that of a team of application security experts earning a combined 30 million rubles (about $350,000) a year. Developers can configure the AI plugin to their requirements and apply its verification logic either to every vulnerability detected or only to high-priority risks.

Three Security Scenarios at Once
Luntry, an AI platform for comprehensive security of containerized applications and Kubernetes orchestration systems, extends the capabilities of Solar appScreener and Hexway ASOC. It operates across three areas. The first is prioritizing vulnerabilities in code generated or reviewed with AI. The second is detecting and preventing unknown threats, including potential zero-day and one-day attacks. The third scenario, “Untrusted Code in Full View,” provides complete visibility into activity across Kubernetes clusters and containers running AI-generated code and AI agents.
The Hexway ASOC platform streamlines application development. It creates a vulnerability remediation queue and accelerates key processes. The platform also helps track deadlines, exceptions and statuses. If a vulnerability is closed after retesting, for example, the project manager can see not only how many issues have been identified but also how risk changes over time. These capabilities make it possible to manage a high volume of code vulnerabilities.

Proven in Production
More than 230 organizations are already using Solar Group’s secure development tools. They include banks and IT companies, retailers, and companies in the energy, transportation and logistics sectors. Another 35 IT partners in Russia are delivering AppSec projects for large customers using their own products alongside Solar technologies.
Notably, secure application development has received increased attention at the government level in Russia. In 2024, Rosstandart (Federal Agency on Technical Regulating and Metrology) approved GOST R 56939-2024, replacing the 2016 standard. Its secure development requirements include processes for identifying and remediating vulnerabilities as well as static, dynamic and other forms of software analysis. That has created additional demand for automated tools.

Built Through Technology Consolidation
As for Solar’s new portfolio, it is the result of consolidating technology capabilities. In 2025, the group acquired a 90% stake in Hexway. The deal gave the company access to ASOC technology for managing application security during development. Solar also acquired stakes in Luntry during 2024 and 2025. By the end of December last year, its ownership had exceeded 65%.
Solar’s new offering could potentially set a broader trend. Major vendors may increasingly offer integrated products designed to secure the use of AI. The technology landscape is already evolving in a way that makes any single tool insufficient on its own.
