Ural State Agrarian University, the Sverdlovsk Region Investment Promotion Agency, and NewLink have signed a trilateral cooperation agreement aimed at accelerating the digital transformation of agriculture in the region. The partners plan to combine scientific expertise, investment resources, and agricultural industry capabilities to support the effort.

The agreement calls for a range of initiatives, including research projects involving robotics, educational programs, and the exchange of methodological and practical materials on the use of unmanned aerial vehicles in agriculture, among other activities.

“Ural State Agrarian University is actively integrating digital technologies into education, research, and administration. Cooperation with our new partners opens broad opportunities for the university. The shift toward agricultural robotics is no longer a trend – it has become a necessity,” said Mikhail Flyagin, acting rector of Ural State Agrarian University.

He added that students will train on state-of-the-art equipment to gain hands-on experience and develop their own projects.
