West-Engineering Supplies Relay Protection and Automation Cabinets to Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant
The shipment included 30 units of equipment intended for Unit 2.
West-Engineering has completed another stage of supplying equipment for the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant under construction in Türkiye. The company delivered 30 relay protection and automation cabinets for Unit 2. The equipment is designed to support plant safety and to monitor and manage key components of the unit’s electrical systems.
The manufacturer said the equipment is engineered to meet enhanced fault-tolerance requirements, a critical consideration for nuclear facilities.
One of the main technical advantages of the supplied relay protection and automation equipment is its ability to integrate with West-Engineering’s own Sistema kontrolya i upravleniya elektrotekhnicheskim oborudovaniem (Electrical Equipment Monitoring and Control System). The unified platform enables coordinated operation of protection, control and measurement components while collecting the required data.
