World Atomic Week 2025: Russia Showcases Nuclear Innovation and Global Leadership

The World Atomic Week forum, to be held in Moscow from 25–28 September 2025, marks the 80th anniversary of Russia’s nuclear industry. Organized by Rosatom, the event will bring together government representatives from dozens of countries, leading experts, and executives of major corporations.
Forum Agenda
World Atomic Week combines a business program, a youth science festival, and an industry exhibition. From 26–28 September, the focus will be on engaging young talent and promoting science. The main business program will run from 29–30 September under the theme 'It All Begins with the Atom,' featuring a plenary session and thematic roundtables.

Specialists from more than 100 countries are expected to take part, underscoring the forum’s global reach. Alongside the discussions, an exhibition will showcase the latest nuclear developments, including both energy-related and non-energy applications of atomic technologies.
Technology and Innovation
One of the central themes of the forum is the digital transformation of the nuclear sector. Rosatom will present advanced IT solutions for the entire market. The 'Digital Breakthrough' track will include sessions on industrial robotics, artificial intelligence in production, and IT cooperation among nuclear enterprises.
The exhibition will highlight the contribution of nuclear technologies to economic development and environmental security. Displays will include engineering complexes, innovations in energy, transport, and healthcare, as well as ecological initiatives such as 'clean cities' and resource-saving solutions. The program emphasizes how nuclear technologies are not limited to power generation but extend to advanced materials and isotope-based devices.
Youth and Workforce Development
A strong emphasis is placed on youth engagement. More than 18,000 students and young professionals from around the world are expected to participate in lectures, expert meetings, and the 'Knowledge.First' marathon featuring scientists and thought leaders. The initiative aims to inspire the next generation of nuclear specialists and strengthen the sector’s human capital for decades to come.

Russia’s Technological Leadership
World Atomic Week also underscores Russia’s leadership in the nuclear industry. Rosatom operates in more than 60 countries, ranks first globally in uranium enrichment, and is among the top three producers of nuclear fuel.
The forum will present Rosatom’s latest achievements, from digitalized production systems to green nuclear initiatives, reinforcing Russia’s international reputation as a technologically advanced nation.
