Yakutia to Develop Its Own AI Strategy
The goal is to make artificial intelligence technologies understandable and accessible to residents of the republic.

The Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) is expanding the use of artificial intelligence in regional governance and the social sector, regional head Aysen Nikolaev said during the first meeting of the AI Council under the head of the republic. He noted that AI is already widely used and delivering results.
Implementation to Begin in May
Further work will focus on practical projects and skills development. The republic has sufficient digital infrastructure to advance AI initiatives. The regional strategy will align with federal priorities and regional policy objectives.
The document will be drafted by government representatives, along with experts and technology partners. It is expected to be approved in March, with implementation scheduled to begin in May.
