Yaroslavl Opens Digital Medicine Clinic

A digital medicine clinic has opened at the local medical university in Yaroslavl, where clinicians plan to use advanced treatment approaches.

At the core of the facility is a specialized genetic laboratory. It will be used not only to identify patients’ predispositions to various conditions but also to guide personalized drug selection. Medications will be prescribed based on each patient’s genetic profile, and, when needed, specialists will assist in preparing customized treatments.

The clinic also plans to make broad use of artificial intelligence. Algorithms will be used, among other things, for second readings of mammograms and lung scans.

According to specialists, the launch of the clinic is expected to significantly advance patient care by shifting from standardized treatment approaches to highly individualized strategies.
