Russia Is to Build an Automated Titanium Processing Complex
Manufacturers say the new facility will prioritize advanced automation and environmental safety.

Russia’s leading titanium producer VSMPO-AVISMA plans to build a new automated titanium processing complex in the Sverdlovsk region, the company said in a statement.
The project includes the construction of a pickling line equipped with modern automated systems, tanks with automatic covers, and local exhaust ventilation designed to capture hazardous vapors.
Focus on Environmental Safety
According to Andrei Golovin, head of the central testing laboratory for environmental and industrial safety, specialists are currently reviewing technical documentation, studying technologies, and consulting with industry peers.
Efficient air purification will be ensured by absorption filters installed in the exhaust ventilation systems. Once the new pickling complex is launched, the temporary enclosures previously used in operations will be decommissioned.
