Tyumen Region Expands Reliable Mobile Coverage to 2,000 Residents
Four new base stations have been deployed to improve mobile connectivity in remote areas of the Tyumen region.
Collaboration between telecom providers and energy companies is helping extend reliable communication services to remote parts of Russia. In the first quarter of this year, specialists from Rosseti Tyumen connected four base stations to the power grid. The upgrades expanded coverage, improved call quality, and enhanced mobile internet access for about 2,000 residents in rural communities.
Experts say the move marks another step toward reducing the digital divide and improving quality of life. Modern technologies provide access to online education, telemedicine, electronic government services, and enable remote work and entrepreneurship opportunities.
Reliable power supply is also supported by digital tools. Smart metering devices with remote data transmission capabilities monitor the quality and volume of electricity delivered.
