Russia Rolls Out AI Guide for Nonprofits, Making Neural Networks Accessible to Volunteers

Yandex’s new digital handbook shows nonprofits how to harness free AI tools for writing, design, data analysis, and fundraising—no coding skills required

Nonprofits across Russia now have an easier way to integrate artificial intelligence into their day-to-day work. Yandex has launched "Pomoshch Ryadom" (“Help Nearby”), a step-by-step digital guide explaining how to use free AI-powered tools to write social media posts, generate images, craft formal letters, or even apply for grants. The neural network–based solutions are designed to automate repetitive tasks, saving organizations both time and resources.

The platform works by letting users either pick from ready-made prompt templates or describe their task in plain language—no technical expertise necessary. Many of these tools are already built into Yandex services, making them accessible even to small nonprofits with minimal budgets. By offloading routine work to digital assistants, volunteers can focus more on their core mission.

"Pomoshch Ryadom" is part of Yandex’s broader social initiative to support the nonprofit sector in Russia. The company’s IT specialists not only develop AI tools for volunteers but also assist with hardware procurement and logistics for community projects.
