Document in Minutes: Moya shkola. Dnevnik Adds Instant Enrollment Certificates

Parents can now request a certificate confirming their child's school enrollment directly through the Moya shkola. Dnevnik (My School. Diary) app, choose either a digital or paper version, and track the request from submission to completion.

A new service for requesting school enrollment certificates has launched in the Moya shkola. Dnevnik app and the web version of Tyumen Region's Electronic School platform. Digital certificates are generated automatically, while paper copies can be collected from the student's school. The Tyumen Region Department of Informatization announced the new feature.

Enrollment certificates are commonly required when applying for social benefits, enrolling children in extracurricular or sports programs, and interacting with various state and municipal agencies. By moving the process online, the new service reduces the need for parents to visit schools in person and digitizes another routine administrative task.

A Digital Parent Portal Replaces School Hallways

Since September 2024, every school in Tyumen Region has migrated to the new Moya shkola platform. The system is steadily transforming the traditional electronic gradebook into a comprehensive digital portal for both students and parents. In addition to grades and class schedules, users can access homework assignments, lesson plans, school meal information, and newer modules including the Moscow Electronic School Digital Library and Student Portfolio. Enrollment certificates have now been added to that list. Planned updates include access to transportation cards and registration for extracurricular programs.

Obtaining full access to the digital diary requires three straightforward steps. First, parents must verify their account through the Gosuslugi portal or mobile app. Next, they add their children's information to their Gosuslugi profile. Under "Documents" and then "Family and Children," they enter the child's birth certificate, SNILS personal insurance number, and the student's email address. The final step is signing into the Tyumen Region Electronic School website or the My School app using Gosuslugi credentials.

Request, Receive, Done

Ordering an enrollment certificate is equally simple. Users open the "Enrollment Certificates" section in the website or mobile app, and the document is generated within minutes. Each certificate is authenticated with the Electronic School subsystem's qualified electronic signature issued by the Tyumen Region Department of Education. The document has full legal validity and can be presented wherever such confirmation is required.

Parents who need a paper copy simply select the corresponding option after receiving the digital certificate. Once the printed document is ready, the request status changes to "Available for Pickup" in the Enrollment Certificates section. The only remaining step is collecting it from the school.

370,000 Digital Certificates in One Year

Russia's Ministry of Education introduced the FGIS Moya shkola (Federal State Information System My School) platform in 2022 to unify electronic gradebooks and attendance records, schedules, cloud storage, and educational content within a single environment. A year later, parents using the Moscow Electronic School platform gained the ability to request enrollment certificates online without submitting paper applications or visiting schools. Adoption was rapid: more than 370,000 digital certificates were issued in Moscow during 2023 alone.

Regional school systems followed in 2024. That fall, Tyumen Region migrated from its previous Obrazovaniye 72 platform to Moya shkola, bringing several new modules to schools. Among them was the Moscow Electronic School Digital Library, which provides digital textbooks, fiction, training materials, presentations, lesson plans, and even scientific articles. Another addition was Student Portfolio, where parents can record information about extracurricular activities, academic achievements, sports competitions, and cultural events.

The platform expanded again in 2025. Tyumen Region's Electronic School introduced a voice assistant powered by Alisa, allowing parents and students to check grades and receive homework assignments through voice interaction. The digital diary was also integrated with Sferum, the education platform built on the VKontakte social network. The new certificate service marks another step in the platform's evolution from a digital gradebook into a comprehensive parent portal.

What's for Lunch?

As the platform expands, maintaining reliable technical support and thorough testing will be essential. In an ideal scenario, users would no longer need to download or submit documents themselves because the required information could move automatically between government agencies.

Meanwhile, the digital diary itself continues to gain new capabilities. Parents can already use the Meals section to select lunch menus a week in advance. Middle and high school families can also monitor cafeteria account balances, add funds, and print payment receipts through the same feature. In the Learning section, students can review the curriculum for the entire grading period and catch up on lessons they missed. Together, these tools help both students and parents stay informed, making it much harder for anything important to slip through the cracks.

Digital technologies and digital educational content support learning in every classroom, extracurricular club, and after-school activity. Today, technology allows us to build individualized learning pathways, select educational content, and shape not only individual lessons but entire courses according to each student's level, needs, goals, and interests. Most importantly, these opportunities must be used safely, and both children and adults should understand how to use these tools
