The administration of the Russian city of Ivanovo has switched to the RuPost corporate email system developed by the domestic software company Astra Group, the company’s press service said. More than 1,000 users are already working with the new service. The software deployment became the largest joint project between the parties. Earlier, the city administration had also adopted the Astra Linux server operating system.

The transition to the new email platform was carried out in several stages, with the company helping replace the imported system without interrupting daily operations. Municipal employees needed an easy-to-use email service with modern functionality and strong information security. As a result, the administration gained a more stable and secure IT infrastructure.

Designed for Municipalities and State Companies

According to Andrey Soldatov, director of regional development at Astra Group, the team worked together with colleagues from the training center company PROFI to create an integrated digital environment.

“Email services will remain available under any external circumstances, and the customer now has a reliable foundation for integrating other technologies from our ecosystem that can further improve staff productivity. These include WorksPad for secure mobile workplaces and the Desktop X email client, which the Ivanovo administration began testing as soon as it entered the market,” he said.

Earlier, the administration of Pskov and several state-owned companies also switched to RuPost.
