World Atomic Week Opens in Moscow With Focus on Digital Tech

The international forum World Atomic Week kicked off at Moscow’s VDNH, spotlighting artificial intelligence and digitalization as the future of the nuclear industry.

The forum opened on September 25 as part of celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of Russia’s nuclear industry. The first day’s agenda was dominated by the “Digital Breakthrough” track, with discussions held in the “Data Center” hall.

Speakers from Rosatom, Russia’s Ministry of Digital Development, Yandex, and international companies explored opportunities for cooperation in IT and the real-world potential of artificial intelligence in industry.

Meanwhile, experts in the “Robot” hall examined how to safely integrate robotics into manufacturing. Organizers also offered online broadcasts of the sessions for remote participants.

By emphasizing digitalization, the forum underlined how tightly the nuclear sector’s growth is now intertwined with IT. Exchanges between Russian and international specialists aim to speed the adoption of new technologies through practical, cross-border solutions.
