Moscow Launches AI Tour Guide in Russpass App
Artificial intelligence now powers free audio guides for Moscow landmarks, offering travelers a new way to explore the city through the Russpass app.
According to the city portal mos.ru, AI-driven audio tours have been added to Russpass. The guides provide detailed stories about Moscow’s cultural and natural attractions, and they can play in the background while users navigate their route. To start, visitors open the “Routes” section and apply the “With Audio Guide” filter.
Each tour is structured as a playlist, with individual tracks for every location. Users can switch between recordings, listen in any order, and view photos and text descriptions alongside the audio. The AI guides are designed to make exploring Moscow more interactive and informative.
The app also includes a navigation mode: once a route is selected, the map tracks the visitor’s path while the audio plays. The library of tracks is continuously expanding, and by the end of the year it will include over 1,500 stories about iconic Moscow sites.
