The distribution is based on XSQUARE 6.6, released in June 2026, and supports three databases: PostgreSQL, MariaDB and MySQL. A new feature simplifies migration from Oracle and MS SQL. The platform can be deployed in VK Cloud, Yandex Cloud, Selectel and Timeweb clouds, as well as through Docker containers.

The components run natively on Elbrus processors, without emulation or additional software layers, and switching to the new processor requires only transferring a configuration file. According to company tests, the platform responds to queries in 50 to 127 milliseconds on an Elbrus E8S2 processor and handles millions of transactions without failures. The company says that level of performance is sufficient for small and midsize businesses, while the processor can handle 95% of systems at large companies.

“We are adapting the XSQUARE platform for Russian processors so customers can move away from foreign systems without sacrificing reliability or performance. The release of the Elbrus distribution allows companies to deploy this combination themselves and test it on their own workloads,” said Konstantin Vashchenkov, chief technology officer at Hi-Square.
