Developers in Kazan have created SpaceAI, a system designed to help businesses manage artificial intelligence deployments, the regional Ministry of Digital Development said. Generative AI has already been adopted by more than 70% of Russian companies, but one of the key requirements remains control and security. SpaceAI monitors AI agents and ensures they operate strictly within predefined limits. If an agent needs to exceed its assigned permissions, it must request approval from a human operator, as the system’s safeguards cannot be bypassed.

Managing Risk in Real Time

The system tracks risks and can block an agent if it detects suspicious behavior. It can be configured for a wide range of automation scenarios. By deploying SpaceAI, companies can maintain transparency and oversight of AI systems within their operations, reducing financial and reputational risks while lowering the cost of investing in AI agents.

According to estimates by federal-level companies, the economic impact of artificial intelligence in Russia could reach nearly 8 trillion rubles per year by 2030 (approximately $85 billion). Against this backdrop, the development by specialists from Tatarstan is becoming increasingly relevant.
