STEKKOM Showcases Two Emergency Communications Solutions
The company unveiled the new technologies at the Maritime Congress – Far East 2026.
At the Maritime Congress – Far East 2026, private telecommunications operator and satellite solutions integrator STEKKOM introduced two emergency communications products. The first is the CTT 200 VSAT modem, designed to provide communications via geostationary satellites. Its distinguishing feature is an ultra-compact antenna that enables operation in areas without terrestrial communications infrastructure while supporting data transmission speeds of up to 10 Mbps.
The second product is a personal emergency beacon compatible with the Cospas-Sarsat international search-and-rescue system. The device is equipped with a battery capable of transmitting a distress signal continuously for up to 24 hours. It also provides highly accurate positioning, with an error margin of only a few meters. The beacon is designed not only for mariners, but also for hikers, hunters, anglers, pilots, and anyone traveling in remote areas far from established infrastructure.
