KRET Releases First Batch of Smart Ventilators for Newborns
The devices can continuously adjust the flow of delivered air.

KRET, part of the Rostec State Corporation, has released the first 10 units of its Neoline-1 ventilator, designed for infants up to one year old. The equipment helps babies breathe without intubation and eases the transition from mechanical ventilation to spontaneous breathing.
One of the device’s key features is its automatic airflow adjustment. Rather than delivering an oxygen-air mixture according to a fixed regimen based on the infant’s weight, the device continuously adapts to the baby’s natural breathing. The system compensates for air leaks and maintains the required pressure in the airways, helping keep the lungs expanded. This capability is particularly important for premature infants with extremely low birth weight.
