AI Brings Russia’s ‘Medny Vsadnik’ to Life
A film inspired by Alexander Pushkin’s poem has been created entirely by artificial intelligence.
A film inspired by Alexander Pushkin’s poem ‘Medny Vsadnik’ (The Bronze Horseman) has been unveiled in Russia. The entire production was generated by a neural network, Tricolor reported.
The story follows the fate of Yevgeny, a resident of Saint Petersburg who lives through the devastating flood of 1824. The film blends elements of fantasy, disaster, romance, and historical drama.
A New Creative Tool
The entire film – voice, music, and visuals – was created using artificial intelligence. According to Tricolor, the technology made it possible to produce the film faster than if it had been made using traditional methods, while also making it more vivid and original.
Viewers can watch the production for free via Tricolor’s online cinema or its Tricolor Kino i TV mobile app. This is not the first AI-generated film released in 2025. Earlier, the AI-created film Genghis Khan was also presented. Short AI-generated formats have become a broader trend in advertising in 2025.
