MegaFon Installing 142 Video Monitoring Cameras in Kyzyl
MegaFon has begun deploying a video monitoring system in Kyzyl, the capital of the Republic of Tuva, the operator’s press service said.

In the first phase, 20 of the planned 142 cameras have been installed. The system is being integrated into Bezopasny gorod (Safe City): cloud-based software analyzes video feeds in real time, detects unusual situations and automatically alerts the police, emergency services and city authorities, enabling a faster response to incidents.
Of the 142 cameras, 110 will monitor road traffic and record traffic violations, while another 32 will be equipped with biometric identification modules for facial recognition.
The project is being implemented with Tuva’s Ministry of Digital Development at the request of regional head Vladislav Khovalyg. It is intended to reduce street crime, cut the number of traffic accidents and minimize the risk of industrial accidents, particularly during large public events.
