Sber Brings One-Click Payments Directly Into 1C Accounting Software

Corporate customers using 1C: DirektBank (DirectBank) can now complete payments directly from their accounting system without switching to Sber's banking application, thanks to a new API integration that streamlines financial workflows.

The capability became available through integration between the SberBiznes (SberBusiness) platform and the latest versions of 1C applications. Sber API technology provides a direct connection between companies' accounting systems and the bank's services, saving accountants and treasury teams hours of routine work.

Reducing Routine Work

An API is software that enables different applications to exchange information. It allows systems that were originally unrelated to work together seamlessly, eliminating unnecessary manual actions for users.

All operations are now completed through a single interface. Users no longer need to manually transfer payment data from 1C into SberBusiness or repeatedly log into separate banking applications. Payments are submitted instantly, while their status becomes immediately visible inside the accounting system. That automation significantly reduces repetitive tasks, lowers the risk of errors, and accelerates financial operations.

Sber API gives the bank's customers access to more than 670 services. Given that businesses of every size rely extensively on Russian ERP and accounting platforms, expanding the ecosystem of compatible software solutions could have a broad impact across the corporate sector.

One Interface for Every Financial Workflow

Before the end of this year, Sber plans to add payroll register uploads to 1C: DirektBank alongside payment order processing. The next phase will focus on integration with industry-specific ERP systems and e-commerce platforms, making it possible to trigger payments automatically when predefined conditions are met, much like smart contracts.

Today, DirectBank technology for exchanging ruble payment documents is supported not only by Russian banks but also by selected financial institutions in Kazakhstan, Belarus, and Kyrgyzstan. That creates a foundation for expanding Sber's IT solution across CIS markets.

DirectBank Becomes an Industry Standard

Sber consolidated its API portfolio into the unified Sber API platform in 2024, bringing together more than 400 services. During the same year, it waived the fees for using the platform. According to Anna Loyevskaya, Director of Sberbank's Digital Corporate Banking division, that lowered the barrier to adopting digital financial services and contributed to higher transaction volumes.

At the same time, major Russian banks began deploying DirectBank technology on a broad scale. Today, direct integration with 1C is supported by Sber, VTB, T-Bank, Alfa-Bank, Tochka Bank, Rosselkhozbank, and more than 36 Russian financial institutions overall, pointing to the emergence of an industry-wide standard.

Banking Becomes Part of Enterprise Software

The latest integration between Sber and 1C marks a shift toward embedding banking capabilities directly into general-purpose ERP systems and, eventually, industry-specific enterprise platforms. In the near term, the range of supported banking operations will expand while becoming fully automated. The next stage is expected to bring similar capabilities not only to Russia's systemically important banks but also to regional financial institutions. Competition is therefore likely to shift away from the quality of standalone online banking applications toward the depth of integration with ERP, accounting, and vertical software platforms. That evolution will create demand for new API management technologies, integration gateways, and stronger financial data protection.

Banking capabilities are steadily becoming part of the everyday enterprise software environment. Replacing fragmented services with integrated digital ecosystems is helping accelerate the digital transformation of Russia's economy.

We see technology as the foundation that gives businesses speed and convenience. That is why Sber has created a seamless experience for accounting and budgeting financial flows. Our solution, already used by more than 5,000 customers, will save Russian companies' accountants and treasury professionals dozens of working hours
