Finance Ministry to Use AI to Forecast Budget Revenues
Russia’s Finance Ministry Plans to Introduce Artificial Intelligence Models for Forecasting Federal Budget Revenues.

The measure is outlined in the document “Main Areas of Budgetary, Tax and Customs and Tariff Policy for 2027 and the Planning Period of 2028 and 2029.”
The plan also calls for digitizing the system used to update and coordinate methodologies for forecasting revenues of state extra-budgetary funds. Regional and municipal financial authorities will be gradually connected to the process of compiling information on revenue-sharing standards and revenue sources in the Unified State Integrated Information System “Electronic Budget.” In addition, the government plans to improve mechanisms for exchanging revenue-related information so that data is entered only once, duplication is reduced, and data exchange is automated.
