Russia’s Transport Ministry to Build Digital Solutions Map for the Industry
The initiative aims to help regions adopt best practices faster, sharing advanced tech solutions to modernize passenger and cargo transportation across the country.

The Russian Ministry of Transport has proposed creating a unified map of digital solutions for the transportation sector. The platform would allow regions to exchange successful practices and adopt the most effective IT tools, making travel and logistics safer, more efficient, and more user-friendly. The project will speed up the country’s digital transformation of transport.
The announcement came ahead of the “Digital Transport System – 2025” forum, which will host the first-ever special session of the State Council Commission on Transport devoted entirely to high technologies. The goal is to ensure that residents across Russia can easily plan trips, pay fares, and access modern services.
Transport Minister Andrey Nikitin emphasized that open dialogue between the federal center and regional authorities is crucial for tackling urgent challenges together.
The upcoming session will also address the development of intelligent transport systems, mandatory electronic document management, regulatory frameworks for autonomous vehicles, and a unified drone identification system. This comprehensive approach lays the foundation for the future of Russian transport in line with global trends.
