The companies presented access, aggregation and data center switches, GPON OLT platforms and Wi-Fi 6 customer devices during the launch event. The equipment was developed as part of Russia’s broader push toward import-independent telecom infrastructure.

The companies said the hardware is already being used in commercial operations. Preparations are now underway to add the products to Russia’s official registry of domestic radio-electronic equipment, a step that would make them eligible for government procurement contracts.

“We are focusing on practical telecom operator experience, technological expertise and sustainable development — these are the factors that are becoming critical for the market of import-substituted networking solutions,” Morion Networks CEO Dmitry Trikoz said.

Morion Networks relies on its own manufacturing base at the Morion plant in Perm, originally founded in 1957. The facility employs hundreds of specialists involved not only in hardware production but also in the development of new networking technologies.
